Pizza Party Cake

This would be great for a birthday party with real pizza served as the meal portion, or any party where you wanted something fun and different.

Pizza Party Cake

Ingredients:
Box of white or yellow cake mix
1 can of any flavor of white frosting
Red food coloring (I had to use an entire small bottle)
White chocolate or almond bark
Strawberries
Green gum drops
2 disposable pizza pans

Directions:

Pizza Party CakeMix the cake batter according to directions, then pour half into each pan. It doesn't look like much, but it will fluff up. Bake, then cool.

While the cake is cooling, do the following:

Mix the food coloring into the frosting until you get a nice, bright red. Remember, it's supposed to look like pizza sauce. Make chocolate shreds by using a cheese shredder or just chopping it. (This is your mozzarella cheese.) Chop up a small handful of green gum drops into small pieces. (These are the bell peppers.) Lastly, slice your strawberries into rounds, parallel to the top. (These are your pepperoni slices.)

Now, frost the cakes like you would put sauce on a pizza — leave a one inch edge all the way around. Next sprinkle on the chocolate, then the green gum drops, then the strawberry slices.

Voila...pizza!
